Day Trip at Bluewater Maribago

When in Cebu and you don't have the luxury of time to travel up north to see the pristine beaches of Bantayan and Malapascua, or down south to check out the awe-inspiring Sumilon Island and the majestic falls in Badian, all you have to do is get a cab and tell the driver to bring you to the nearest beach. Chances are, the driver will bring you to Mactan Island, off the city of Lapu-Lapu.

Lined by several white beach resorts and hotels, it is also where the famous Bluewater Maribago is located.

For as low as Php 1,450 nett per person on a weekday, you can already enjoy Bluewater Maribago's pristine beach and man-made sand bar.

The rates are as follows:

Day Tour

Weekdays (Monday to Thursday)
Php 1,450 nett per pax
8 AM to 5 PM inclusive of Lunch Buffet

Weekend (Friday to Sunday including Holidays)

Php 1,750 nett per pax
8 AM to 5 PM inclusive of Lunch Buffet

Night Tour

Weekday (Monday to Thursday0
Php 1,650 nett per pax
1 PM to 9 PM inclusive of Themed Dinner Buffet

Weekend  (Friday to Sunday including Holidays)
Php 2,050 nett per pax
1 PM to 9 PM inclusive of Themed Dinner Buffet

These tour rates already include lunch or dinner and use of swimming pool and the beach. What's more is that if you come in group of 10, you'll have free roundtrip transfers (pick up/drop off points: Ayala Center Cebu, SM City Cebu, Marina Mall, I.T. Park).

At the 110-meter beach, you can also ride a small paddle boat to go to the 1.1-hectare private island  that is just 65 meters away from the beachfront. This sand bar is a perfect venue for private gatherings like weddings and cocktail events.

While the day/night tour rates already include buffet lunch or dinner, you might still want to check out their ala carte menu at Allegro. Their Adobo Rice is my ultimate favorite (adobo fried rice in bamboo). The Allegro Fiesta Platter is best for those with a gargantuan appetite as it consists of a vareity of grilled seafoods and meat served on a bilao. You can actually eat it boodle-style.

For those availing the day/night tours, there is a clean shower room with lockers and hot and cold showers available. You may put your things here while enjoying the beach or the pool, and change your clothes after.

Sometimes, they also conduct free kiddie activities like storytelling, art workshops, and cooking classes. They also have a seasonal baby shark feeding activity in one of the man made lagoons in the afternoon. For the  parents, you may enjoy browsing the artworks at their gallery or simply lounge by the beach.
